Held Breath
Held Breath is a two-part abstract composition built around a single suspended gesture: pressure gathering in one work, then opening into release in the other. Pearl, mist blue and the faintest shell pink move through translucent folds, while a slender deep-blue seam interrupts the calm. The glass-like forms create an illusion of liquid depth in a light, considered interior.
Pressure draws its forms inward. Release opens them into a broad, weightless curl. Designed to be experienced together, the two works create a quiet exchange across the space between them.
A distinctive paired composition
The pair is conceived as two complementary states of the same gesture, rather than a repeated or mirrored motif. Its identity comes from the relationship between the works: rounded pearl forms, a displaced blue seam, and the shift from compression to openness.
